Photo That Tells A Story

This is a picture of my younger brother crossing the finnish line in a cross-country meet at Piketon.

Photo That Tells A Story #2

This photo was taken at our home cross-county meet. It's pretty easy to tell what is going on in this photograph. The guy on the atv is leading the race and everyone is following him.

Sandy Skoglund Diorama

My friend Shelby and i made this box in our fourth period class. We chose to make every thing out of trash to show how important it is not to litter.

Discussion Board Assignment #1

-Please evaluate the following imagery in terms of Composition, Value, lighting, and Subject Matter.

-Although these two images focus on different subject matter, and are taken at different times of day we are able to see a lot of similarities between the two. What are some of those similarities?

-Are either of these images inspirational to you? Have you ever had the chance to photograph an image like either of these? Can you think of a location that would lead to a composition such as these?
AlFred Stieglitz
Icy Night
1893

Minor White
Barn and Clouds
1955

My Response.....

Part 1. The photo named Icy Night, is taken in a low light setting, the light in the photo is from the lamp posts. By the looks of iit it was on a winter evening. The trees and the road in the image is what really catches your eyes when you first look at the photograph, creating verry strong composition.

The photo named Minor White, is easy to see where its name came from. The barn in this photo catches your attention right off the bat because is one of the few things that are black in this photo. The lighting in this photo is from the sun help giving this photo strong composition.

Part 2.
To start with both of the photo's are traditionally. Both of the photos are taken with no people around creating a calm atmosphere. Also it is very easy to tell how each image got its title. Another similarity is that both photos grab your eye as soon as you look at them.

Part 3
I think that both of these photos are inspiring to me. These photos show me how many great chances that i have had to take similar photos, but didn't take advantage of them. It makes me wish that i did take all those photos that i didn't. In the future I hope that I take advantage of the things around me that could make an amazing photo. The first photo looks like it was taken in the city, maybe in the park. The second photo may have been taken in the country.

This is a picture of my football that was just laying in the yard.

Open #2

This is a photograph is of a frog on a lilly pad. I really like this photo and was surprised that I could get close enough to the frog without it jumping in the pond before I was able to take my picture.

Extreme Angle #4

In this photograph i took it at an extreme angle and then thought it would look really cool if i took the color out of every thing but the pencil.
